Just thought I'd post a few questions to set the ball rolling..And this time, the questions are only about vlogging!

So here goes:

1. What made you use your YouTube name?
2. Why did you start vlogging?

Lets all answer these questions in a video and then post it below in the forum

btw do any of you know how to turn of the feature that makes the camera track your face and move the frame around (on a digital camcorder) coz its really starting to annoy me

1. What made you use your YouTube name?
Because It reflects me brilliantly

2. Why did you start vlogging?
I needed a hobby, I had started a text blog before, but found after looking at vlogging videos, that it was easier to present ideas and communicate.

3. Who is your favourite vlogger(s)?
Phillip deFranco & bestology!

4. How many subscribers do you currently have?
about 13

5. What camera do you use?
A webcam, but saving up for a camera

6. How long is 'too long' for a vlog?
depends on what the topic is, if it is a personal vlog, anything mroe than 7minutes

7. What makes a vlog boring?
When people talks for hours about something that you have no idea about..

8. Do you make your vlogs to make your viewers happy, or yourself?
To make myself happy, there will always be haters on the internet so if you concentrate on the viewers too much then it will just get you down. Of course taking into account the audience is very important, I just dont have the viewership at the moment to really notice it lol..

My name is Jon Lovell - and I love my name!

2. Why did you start vlogging?
I wanted to start documenting my life - and be able to look back at what I did! And also, it's a nice way for my family to keep up with me!

3. Who is your favourite vlogger(s)?
I love the ShayTards and TobyTurner - but Also, most of the SmallTubers are BRILLIANT too!

4. How many subscribers do you currently have?
As I write this, I have 1,007! WHAT?!

5. What camera do you use?
I use the flippiest Flip Cam!

6. How long is 'too long' for a vlog?
20 hours!

7. What makes a vlog boring?
Me!?

8. Do you make your vlogs to make your viewers happy, or yourself?
I always make myself happy!

Jabba media was the name of my old company and STOP JABBAING ON I thought was just a nice name

2. Why did you start vlogging?
A good friend of mine was doing it (lovejonlovell) and he always seemed to be having fun and I thought hell that looks jolly lets give it a crack

3. Who is your favourite vlogger(s)?
My fav vloggers are, Bestology, Shay, Toby, Jasper, CTFxC....I could go on really because I enjoy different aspects of a few vloggers

5. What camera do you use?
I was using an old medion cam I had but just bought a flip

6. How long is 'too long' for a vlog?
As long as its interesting it doesnt matter

7. What makes a vlog boring?
Someone whose not passionate about the subject they are talking about or at least seem to not really give a toss about the video they are making. You usually find that these people are just in it to try and make money rather than enjoy themselves

8. Do you make your vlogs to make your viewers happy, or yourself?
I make me happy first. If someone watches my vlog and it makes them smile then thats a bonus if it makes them laugh then thats brilliant

This is kinda late but oh well, haha.


1. My YouTube username is duckieexx3. I love ducks and 3 is my favourite number! Don't know what's with all the other stuff though... O_o

2. I started vlogging when I saw other vloggers have a lot of fun with it so I decided to give it a go!

3. My favourite vloggers include Toby Tuner, iJustine, ShayTards, Jenna Ezarik... Heaps.

4. I currently have 29 subscribers!

5. I use a Sanyo S870. Sometimes I like to use my iPod too!

6. I reckon at about 8 minutes it gets a little boring, but if you can go for longer without being boring, that's cool. I generally keep mine short. :)

7. Well, it gets boring when someone doesn't know what to say and they're thinking for five minutes; that gets quite dull quite fast.

8. I make vlogs for my own enjoyment; viewers are just an awesome bonus. :)

1. What made you use your YouTube name?

My vlog is about making positive changes in my life after the end of my marriage. My wife had an affair with a younger man and when I found out I was devastated. Four areas were greatly affected: Physical Health, Emotional Wellness, Financial Stability and Spiritual Growth. I have a plan to improve all four of those areas and I am documenting that process … hence, the name “The Change Vlog”

2. Why did you start vlogging?

I started vlogging because I thought that it would help me hold myself more accountable. As I attempt to make major changes in these large areas of my life (Physical Health, Emotional Wellness, Financial Stability and Spiritual Growth), I wanted to be able to look at myself and make sure I’m doing what I said I would do. I am vlogging to make a difference for my children!

3. Who is your favourite vlogger(s)?

Other than VlogMike!? (Yes, I was sucking up to the creator of this page! Lol) Internet Killed Television, Stephupurlyf and Krazy Kate … when PhillyD gets personal in his vlog, they’re very good … but it’s inconsistant.

4. How many subscribers do you currently have?

I currently have 27 awesome subscribers! Today is one month exactly since I started Vlogging and I am really happy with that number!!! Feel free to sub though, more are always welcome!!

5. What camera do you use?

I use a KODAK PLAYSPORT Video Camera. It shoots HD, it’s waterproof (up to 3 Meters) and it only cost $130 USD!! I love it! Would love to have a second, higher end cam with diff lenses and stuff, but for right now I’m pretty happy with it!

6. How long is 'too long' for a vlog?

I don’t think a vlog can be too long if the content is quality! 30 seconds is too long if the content is boring and there is nothing of quality to be seen! I have videos that are 5 minutes and some that are 14 minutes, but my footage determines the length of my vlog. I dread the day my vlog is 30 seconds! Lol (Intro, and fade to outro!)

7. What makes a vlog boring?

Contrary to popular belief, the vlog shouldn’t be about you … you’re probably boring, I’m probably boring. It should be about the things we do, the choices we make and giving someone an experience that they might not get where they live. If a vlog is the same content every day, the same locations, the same 1-2 people, the same activities … then most likely it is boring.

Also, if you're dreading doing a vlog ... then most likely people are dreading watching it!

8. Do you make your vlogs to make your viewers happy, or yourself?

My number one goal is to improve my situation. My kids have had a hard year (2010-11), I have had a hard year and I want life to be full of joy and happiness for them and myself. That is my first mission. If others enjoy following that journey or it helps someone else accomplish change in their life then I would be completely honored by that. I hope to accomplish both, fulfill a void in my life and make others happy at the same time!
